if 90% of game writing is putting dialogue in spreadsheets, then why does every job posting want a screenplay

Barks and VO I’ve always done in Excel, but cinematics I write in CeltX using screenplay format and branching conversations I write in Word (then paste into whatever we’re using). It depends on the studio somewhat, but also the kind of game you’re making.

I think others have said this but spreadsheet format would be much less helpful for those making the cinematics, if you have them
