Valhalla: We should take the city of Tamworth Me 1h ago: Killed everyone at Tamworth and looted every chest but 1 because story. Sometimes I wish open world games would be better prepared for these scenarios. Players might do things earlier because they are on the path anyway.

Right? It feels a bit punishing that exploring the world is actually not encouraged, since main missions might ask you to redo locations again. Oh well.
I actually don’t mind it so much. Characters acknowledged it more often than not, and I felt more smug and amused than anything else.

For me it feels a bit annoying after a while. It kinda makes me want to stop exploring and just focus on the missions. These games are already long enough to repeat content on top. But that's just grumpy me.
