Financial disclosure (since I've seen folks asking): I grew up working/lower-middle class. My mother sacrificed some of her pension (which I have paid back) to help with university costs, and I worked part-time as well. Up until last year I was hand-to-mouth, month-to-month.

Your journey (marketing to narrative) is something I think about a lot.

It’s one I’ve seen a few times! I think a lot of storytellers end up in marketing, if not because they’re passionate about the discipline then because they think that’s their only avenue as a writer with a salary. But marketing in the games industry reveals other avenues.
