Create as big a dynasty as you can by setting up matrilineal marriages for your daughter's. It will create a beautiful shitshow but also make it easier for you not to game over.

Scheme regularly to make your vassals like you so they don't revolt at JUST the wrong time - if you end up with a Friend/Best friend in the bargain, they also give you gifts sometimes

By scheme do you just mean sway or something more specific? I’ve seen that my spymaster can support/disrupt schemes more generally and look for secrets, but that’s all
