In some recent hiring, I've seen an extreme amount of men overstating their experience. Like... "director level" because they worked on a student project. Literally have NEVER seen this on a female application. And I've screen at least 1000 applicants in the last year.
I've noticed that! There was an intern once was who was getting frustrated that he didn't get managerial treatment or responsibilities and it was like ?????? You've just come out of uni????

Oh yeah, I've seen that as well. It's made me VERY cautious about low level hires. And yet I've hired some AMAZING people that are so ready to hustle and earn their place. It's just about screening out that entitlement.
