Question for people with ADHD: Does your ADHD affect how you play games, or the kinds of games you play? If so, how? What do you find accessible vs inaccessible?

Oh god yes. I'm undiagnosed (but with some pretty glaring tells) but this is me exactly. I use wayfinding accessibility features and such constantly because I can't stand feeling lost. I need to know exactly what I'm doing or I nope out.
And then I feel bad because others are going on about how that's part of the fun, and it's like... I don't find that fun. I find it stressful and overwhelming. If my focus isn't directed, I lose it entirely.

Friends with three story bases, cute glass panels, farms: "Can't believe you're not having fun in Minecraft..." Me having scoured the achievement page 12 times, base is a small symmetric cave on the side of a mountain with 9 chests, a bed and a door: "Yeah idk why either..."

I couldn’t get into Minecraft but Dragon Quest Builders is amazing because it has a) a storyline and b) specific recognition of “room” types that register and give your base points that are required for progression, so there’s some nudging and it’s GREAT
