It definitely is tricky - but that's also why it's so FUN, because the tricky part comes from the complexity which is, well: that's LIFE, babey!!!! Life is complex, so having that degree of complexity as an option for fiction is just - woof. We have the raaaaaange now
Absolutely. There’s a puzzle to IF — designing, implementing and navigating systems successfully gives that same sense of satisfaction. It’s part of why I so much prefer writing variables narratives to linear.
