I still think it was my imagination, but Dragon Age 2, if you tended toward snarky it seemed even the non-snarky responses were flavored that way. But like i said, i still think i was imagining this.

That would be cool. Usually we do the whole ‘no personality unless it’s been picked in a choice’ thing and sometimes that makes for inconsistent protagonists who are just dull/silent AF except for that one quirky thing they said

I've recently played a VN called Ebon Light that kinda does this. You pick a personality and your dialog options reflect that personality. Certain choices are blacked out if you don't have enough points in whatever personality it corresponds with.

Divinity 2 allows tags, such as scholar, thief, soldier, ruffian, etc, and some dialogue choices may come about from them, allowing some alternate routes or color. You might even earn others as you play, like "villian".
