This nails it. "To get to the next nugget of story you must kill people and rummidge through cupboards...." nah, not interested.
Right? And there’s often little relevance and certainly no emotional investment in the obstacles(s). It’s just drudgery.
I felt this way about The Last of Us. I loved the story, but every time the camera pulled back on entering an open space I was like 'what... again ? I really can't be bothered.'
