Trying to workout if something is a me thing or a common, people thing. When something others praise doesn’t feel good to you, do you accept that you didn’t like it or do you convince yourself it’s just a different flavour of good you still need to acquire?

Sometimes I like things and other times I accept they're not for me and other times I think people are suckered into surface emotions (this happens a lot on "i loved this but wouldn't replay it"). Work-dependent, I guess?

Yeah, I think I need to learn to trust my instincts and gain confidence in my intuitions. It’s just a lot of my life the things everyone told me were great were not great and I doubted myself instead of questioning it.

Feel you on wanting to like stuff — that’s why I keep trying to give MCU ‘another go’. It just sucks because I feel like I’ve wasted swathes of my life on stuff I didn’t actually like because I’ve somehow gaslit myself.
