Wait, so what happened to Jenny’s mum in Deep Impact? After all that talk of ‘get back together because she’s all alone’ did Jenny just let her die alone while she in turn went to go die with her dad? Asking because I don’t thinks googling ‘deep impact mum’ will end well

I think she decided to go out on her own terms whilst Jenny was focused on her new career. (I rewatched that the other day :) )

It's left up to the viewer, you never actually see it, just her getting dressed up, selecting jewellery etc, then her sat in a chair looking at old photos, fades out. Next is Jenny getting the call and going to pick up her effects, which is the jewellery she picked out earlier.
