I grossly overuse ellipses... I (usually) don't do it on purpose... It's a sickness...

Absolutely! But, I can't shake the feeling that I use them too much and when I look back at anything I've written... I feel shame.

Gotta determine whether it’s your gut telling you that or your memory of others complaining about ellipses. If you read it out loud and they work, keep them.
