Currently on the third book of Brandon Sanderson’s Stormlight Archive. I find his books slow to get into, but a fantastic investment. He really nails the climax. Amazing emotional payoff.
Just seen a lot of others recommend him. Have you read The Poppy War by R.F. Kuang?

Bit of a heads up that it covers some pretty dark topics in the third act. I found one chapter in particular quite upsetting to read. But it's a fabulous book nonetheless, inspired by Chinese history and mythology. Plus you'd be supporting an author of colour ^_^
