Easier said than done though, when it ultimately comes down to subjective perceptions. As an interim, I tend to advocate for faking confidence, playing the part as if you were an actor playing a role. I have a lot of confidence issues, but this has worked for me.
Is confidence stopping you from applying for roles in the first place?
At this point it's a lack of boldness and portfolio to back up my internal known worth. I spent 4 years constantly learning and developing the ability to learn and be flexible, but all advice I get is that "no one will look at your education" and I don't have pieces to show
I feel at this point I have a few month barrier to even getting an entry level job interview somewhere because I don't have a portfolio to speak of, despite my ability to learn and adapt and how multifaceted my skillset is
