Absolutely. Like you, I don't mind so long as it's balanced with enough of what I like, and giving players the ability to overcome conflict in their personal preferred style is pretty much a win-win.
There are different kinds of stress, and my capacity is different for all. Combat stress? Very low. Puzzle stress? Medium. Social/emotional stress? High. It's the thing I've been best socialised to deal with. Let me at 'em.
