Anyone else thoroughly intimidated by a lot of game dev discourse? Everyone always has such eloquent, nuanced takes and I feel like, in contrast, mine always come out as "game go boom I like yessss" for 10 tweets until I shrivel

This just reminds me of the time I was asked about the future of narrative design during a panel and instead of, you know, sounding like an intelligent being, turned it into a starry-eyed rant about a game I'd like to make which it turns out is kind of already a thing

I *died* and I die again every time I remember it, which I sometimes do just to punish myself

We all make that mistake: detailing our dream game only to be informed somebody made it and then a better sequel. We just rarely do it on a panel.
