My parents called the RSPCA yesterday and they were told to wait for a few days before taking them anywhere.
Did they offer advice for protecting them from cats and foxes in the meantime? They look so vulnerable

No they didn't, the man they spoke to wasn't very helpful. My parents have set up a shelter as well as food and water for them for the time being though. Their garden is quite secure, they only tend to get squirrels and birds.
