I'll never forgot working at a phone store when my manager tried to make me sell a second cellphone to a 80 year old man. Refused and quit.
Good on you. Not age-related, but similar story with me. I worked a few months at a vanity publisher that was posing as 'almost traditional'. They had a bunch of nasty tactics to make people sign with them and give them money and would prey on people with mental disabilities.
I distinctly remember going into a private room, calling one client & telling her exactly what they were doing. I told her to drop them & recommended other, better publishing houses. A few days later I confronted the CEO (about & other stuff like fake contracts) & walked out.
It's just disgusting what some people do for some sales numbers :(
