I have no idea what's going on for the first 75% of Sanderson's novels (thanks for that, short attention span), but holy hell, it's worth it for the last 25%.

I've always seen his books recommended highly but never known which is a good place to start
Skyward is the easiest to get into. I started with that and its sequel, then the Mistborn trilogy, then Way of Kings. The first Mistborn took a while to get into, and the first Way of Kings took even longer, but both were absolutely worth pushing through.

I'd say start with Skyward to get a taste for his style and to build trust in how he delivers so that you'll be all powered up for the slow starts of the others, ready to push through. I recommend listening to them as audiobooks as that personally helps me with the beginnings.

Awesome thanks for the advice, I'll definitely give Skyward a look. Always looking for new series to read. I can only read Sabriel(et al) so many times
