For 500 words, out of >15000? Nah. In this case, the plot and the lore are HEAVILY tangled up. I've already outlined everything, and I'm excited about where it's going.
Changing the lore to account for these 500 words would make the world less interesting, would require edits to what I've already written and a rehaul to much of the narrative going forwards.
