Hello, my degree was in writing and acting, and now I make a good salary writing for games despite people like this asshole telling me it would be wasted. If I'd done anything else, I wouldn't have excelled and would have been unhappy. Give him the chance to pursue his interests.

He came so close to accepting he was TA and then just U-turned with stunning shittiness. SIGH

Right? It was such a bizarre turn of event. I was ready for a wholesome end but instead was slapped in the face with Edit 7 Final.

Sadly I think it happens a lot with AITA. People post for validation/vindication, not with any intention of surrendering their stance.

You shouldn't have to. It would be far better if people posting in the sub did so with more humility and readiness to adapt their perspective, which is *supposed* to be the point... :(

Of course it would be better that way but we're expecting TAs to take steps towards changing their perspectives. I don't really see it as a likely option :(
