As a writer, sometimes a character just is one of those things. Not an agenda — that’s just a character someone fell in love with and included.
The vast majority of characters are also not those things. Are they also offensive to you? Honestly, if the inclusion of LGBTQ+ characters in the mix impacts you negatively then that’s something you should investigate about yourself.
