Twitter, give me a one-syllable noun beginning with B that I can use to modify the word "black", for example: "blood-black". The word should pertain to something that would have existed a couple of centuries ago. Blood, unfortunately, doesn't work here and it's killing me. Help?

boar-black, bell-black, base-black, bean-back, bay-back?

Ahhh the issue there is that all those things can be other colours other than black :(

Or at least I would not say that they are themselves most strongly associated with the colour black

maybe bird, beak, bear, bee? brush?

I considered bird for a while, but ideally the word chosen should pertain to something most commonly imagined as black

Uuuuuuuusually however I'm being extremely picky and want something super super dark
