Twitter, give me a one-syllable noun beginning with B that I can use to modify the word "black", for example: "blood-black". The word should pertain to something that would have existed a couple of centuries ago. Blood, unfortunately, doesn't work here and it's killing me. Help?
I should specify that the noun itself must pertain to something that is also black, or most commonly associated with that colour.
