Twitter, give me a one-syllable noun beginning with B that I can use to modify the word "black", for example: "blood-black". The word should pertain to something that would have existed a couple of centuries ago. Blood, unfortunately, doesn't work here and it's killing me. Help?
Related note: is there an online dictionary with an advanced search function that would allow me to narrow down by word class, syllables and starting letter?
This is the part where you get sidetracked into procrastinating by coding said online dictionary, isn't it

https://visca.com/regexdict/ is super helpful, if you now regex. If you don't https://regexr.com/ is a way of building some regular expressions super quickly :D
For words starting with b you would write \bb into the "String:" field on visca and then you can filter for nouns.
