I could not blame you, prince, if you should hate me. I have injured you. So much you know, but could not read my heart. To incur your enmity has been mine aim. The self-same borders could not hold us both. In public and in private I declared myself your foe, and found no peacehttps://twitter.com/_adropofred/status/1251586101535551488 …

Yes! One of the monologues from Racine’s translation of Phaedra, by Euripedes. I played her when I was 17 and it dawned on me after the final performance that she was the most prominent role I would ever get, which turned out to be correct, mostly because I gave up acting at uni

Ah a great tragedy! Still prefer Oedipus Rex from Sophocles myself, Euridepes steers too much to romance for my liking haha. Although Medea is fantastic as well. Maybe you could look into smaller drama clubs as a hobby, as soon as this.. situation.. is resolved?

I’ve thought about it and been tempted a few times. Done some game VO and enjoyed that, but I’m definitely out of practise, plus my vocal range ain’t the best. Might look into it more seriously once I’m done with my manuscript.
