I have so many ideas and worlds and plots and as soon as I sit down to write it feels like every sentence is the worst possible sentence ever written in the English language, so I get very disheartened and give up.
I find that my listening to audiobooks in a style I like, any prose I write soon after is immediately much better. Reading narrative poetry helps, too. There’s a class about artistic and lyrical writing on skillshare by Hanif Abdurraqib which is wonderful, too.
