How do other people deal with the "you should just give up now so you never have to see how badly you fail" thoughts

For me, realizing that it's not just a stupid mantra that failure is a learning experience and opportunity for growth. You have to fail before you succeed. There isn't any other way to do it, so if you are so afraid to fail you can't start, it means you're never going to succeed.
so what you're saying... is that I'm never gonna succeed (joking but also dying inside)

Not at all. I believe in you and your ability to face the threat of failure to accomplish the success you want. But at the end of the day, it's 100% up to you.
