I spent most of my evening writing letters to my future self and despite it feeling a bit self absorbed at first, it was actually very cathartic to write down my pinball brain thoughts right now

You don’t have to — you’re writing to your future self. You can tell them whatever you want. I usually write about whatever’s going on in my life, describe my anxieties about the future and ask my future self how it all turned out.
