Doing some research. What's the absolute scariest movie you've ever seen? I don't mean cheap jump scares, but something that really shook you to the bone.

The Ring was the first one to really get in my head and stay there. The image if the girl in the cupboard haunted me for years. TV fuzz freaked me out. Stuff like The Descent and The Grudge scared me, but didn’t stay with me in the same way. Only Blair Witch Project came close.
After that, nothing got to me for a LONG time. Maybe ten years? Then a few months ago I marathoned Marianne. It wasn’t The Ring or BWP, but it’s the only thing since that’s had me whimpering and afraid to look at the screen.
