Totally valid stress point. I hope that he's able to get back and simply self-quarantine. Thus far the US/Canada don't seem concerned about outgoing flights, and the UK is seemingly intentionally letting the infection run wild, so he might be able to get back

This is assuming he himself doesn't mind the risk of being personally infected, can afford to take 2 weeks at home, and the two of you have strong immune systems. I have asthma so I'll be avoiding it as best I can- airports are probably closed to me for the next months

It will be okay. He will make it back fine. And don't feel bad for worrying about things because others have it worse. Your worries are one hundred percent valid no matter how others have it.

Yep, they’re being great. They’ve offered to send him a laptop if needs be. Sorry to hear your situation is similar :(
