I see dating as another kind of learning — learning about people and relationships. Every dating experience I’ve had has taught me something about myself and how to treat others (or not to). I think they’ve all been really valuable in making me a better person.
Especially as a writer, relationships are really what drive a great story (at least in my opinion) so experiencing them first hand gives me something to draw upon with greater depth
