He used to come home from work and when opening the door he would whistle a simple song and I woukd have to run and kiss him following the rhythm. Life was so easy back then. :)
That’s so nice! When did you lose yours? Mine used to bring me gifts everytime he’d come back from work trips, take me to look at gravestones, watch LOTR with me and arrange my duvets into mountain ranges for my dinosaurs to go on quests

That sounds like a cool dad. :) I was never able to watch LOTR with him, but I would have loved to. Mine passed away in 1995. I was only 11. Cancer is a biatch.

Same age as me! Though for me that was 2004. Yeah, he was cool. Quite conservative in terms of religion, but definitely the foundation for my interests and skills today.
