It’s very easy to fight for the right things in the wrong ways, or in ways that are counterproductive to your cause. I wish more people would remember that in the current climate. No further comment.

Changed my mind. Further comment. Words are more OP than people give them credit for. Consider their effect. Making people feel stupid or belittled makes them stubborn and entrenches beliefs. Are you prioritising principle over cause and effect?

Maybe I’m being overly dramatic, but most of our generation hasn’t seen a war. And the world is changing. Right now, twitter feels like a battlefield, and words are the guns. But it’s all just words right? A derogatory tweet is harmless... right? If it’s deemed deserved?

Let’s not forget why a lot of people voted for Trump, voted for Brexit. Let’s consider not the logical arguments, but the emotions driving those votes. What are we doing to counteract that? Are your words helping, or are they widening the division?

I ask you, what happens when people become divided?
