I dislike the term "soft skills." They're interpersonal skills, they're organizational skills. Those aren't "soft." If they were easy to have, everyone would have them. If they weren't necessary, no one would use them. And I've always found them to be undervalued.
I half agree but then I feel like we’re undervaluing softness. I’m a big softie and I think that’s one of my greatest strengths :)
People say ‘Have you gone soft?’ as an insult when someone is typically displaying empathy or sensitivity, Linda like the coin flip of ‘man up’. But it shouldn’t be an insult. Those can be fantastic qualities! Sorry, I’ve gone off on one 
Oh I love the term soft, I tend to describe "soft auras" for people all the time. It's just when it's paired with the word "skills" it tends to feel.. belittling.
