Not your fault! There's a lot going on in that Tweet.
It was nothing compared to the churches I hear about in the US Deep South, but it was bad. I got so much shit when I started dating an atheist and I feel so bad for him looking back because he had to put up with the effect that had on me and our relationship. He was a better guy.

That's pretty intense for the UK though. I don't have much experience with churches but I'm surprised that happened, thought opinions would be more lax than that.

They considered themselves to be a ‘cool’ church because they had a rock band and stuff, and that was the reason I went there rather than the very dry, dull one my mum went to.
