When I was a kid I thought they were selling the crickets as pets and I was saving up to buy some

When I was a kid we DID keep crickets as pets. We got an anole and fed it mealworms because the crickets were pets. It wasn't good for the anole. Next anole, we feed the crickets to it. In the winter we bought crickets, but in summer? Catching crickets was a chore we had to do!
