Honestly, im in awe too. It's my first time finishing. 
I really couldn't have done it without my champion. She lent me so much emotional strength when I was running out. She could see the growth and progress from afar, and remind me I was going in the right direction.
Does your champion regularly read your work, or is it more of a ‘woo yeah you can do it’ thing?
She's my partner, who lives with me. So, she read my pages roughly twice a week. I also chat with her constantly about my project. Apart from me, I'd say she knows my characters the best. She's unbelievably supportive and I'm so lucky.
I think what really helps is that: 1) she understands intimately what I'm trying to do. (Through convos or reading or w/e) 2) is willing to give advice and just listen And 3) believes in me and is vocal about it. I think you can find those 3 things in different ppl,
