Weird feeling. I've spent two weeks working solidly on a screenplay. During lunch, from the moment I leave work until gone midnight. All day while I've been sick. And while I love my story, I'm facing the fact that a lot of people won't, and that right now it's probably bad.
I'm very drained. And very insecure about it. And very gutted that something I've busted my ass for is still gonna need a lot of work before it's any semblance of good, and that a lot of people just won't like it anyway, because genre, because weird, because preferences.
Hoping some dopamine from ranting online will outweigh the bad feels.

Thank you :) and you, too. I think we just have to be proud of the fact that we made a thing regardless of quality and then just try to make it better.
Hope you like it and are enjoying working on it though? really that's probably what matters most. Added bonus points if others like it too, but you go enjoy yourself!
Personally I LOVE my story, because it was written for me — the story I want to experience, inspired by all the stories and characters and moments I’ve loved. I’m loving working on it. Just also tired and stressed and trying to reconcile this with my desire to impress people.
I have this same issue. Finished an entire manuscript, and now I have to tear it apart and rearrange it to even make it readable. 
But, if you love your story, and you're speaking the truth, then others will love it too.
Find a champion, someone who likes the premise that you can share the developments with. Not only bc it makes you less lonely, but also bc it's proof. If you can get 1 person to like it, you can get 2, can get 4, can get 10, etc.
