Weird feeling. I've spent two weeks working solidly on a screenplay. During lunch, from the moment I leave work until gone midnight. All day while I've been sick. And while I love my story, I'm facing the fact that a lot of people won't, and that right now it's probably bad.
I'm very drained. And very insecure about it. And very gutted that something I've busted my ass for is still gonna need a lot of work before it's any semblance of good, and that a lot of people just won't like it anyway, because genre, because weird, because preferences.
Hoping some dopamine from ranting online will outweigh the bad feels.
I’m in the exact same situation also. I’ve been working on a script for my short film. I’m constantly at war with myself if people will like it or not.
I suppose this is the writer’s lot!

I actually am if you’re up for it. I’m about a third of the way through my edits so you’ll be getting this morning’s version, but thoughts on that will still be incredibly valuable.
Opposite here. I usually love it when I’ve JUST written it and then hate it more over time, as I get distance from it.
