TW: Suicide. I’ve been approached by a follower asking how to help a suicidal friend. I want to help, but feel giving advice myself would be disingenuous. I don’t have that much experience, and I worry about causing more harm through ignorance. What advice would you give?

When it comes to suicide it's a very delicate matter you have to help the person understand it's really pointless and it helps no one. Also let them know if they want to be remembered as a person who gave up. there will always be someone who will miss you.

This isn't going to help, especially telling them they'll be remembered as someone who "gave up".

Like i said it's a delicate topic. Most people who want to commit suicide don't want to be forgotten. Then again none of us want to be forgotten. We exist for a reason and our reason is to find what that is. We want to be remembered for something good, don't we?
