TW: Suicide. I’ve been approached by a follower asking how to help a suicidal friend. I want to help, but feel giving advice myself would be disingenuous. I don’t have that much experience, and I worry about causing more harm through ignorance. What advice would you give?

They should ask their friend what would be best for them. Taking away any dangerous objects is a good start, but do they want to crash with a loved one? Spend time with a close friend watching netflix?
This is great. What if the person lives far away, though? What if they're an online friend?

In that case I’d say they should suggest staying with an immediate family member or friend. They could even ask if they would like to skype with them but just ‘chill in the same room’
