TW: Suicide. I’ve been approached by a follower asking how to help a suicidal friend. I want to help, but feel giving advice myself would be disingenuous. I don’t have that much experience, and I worry about causing more harm through ignorance. What advice would you give?

Majoritry of my suicide attempts wetrr spent alone but folk being aroijd always helped
Was there anything that didn’t help? Anything people tried to do thinking it would help that actually made it worse? Things to avoid?

Additionally, how would you recommend approaching the situation if the person is remote, someone you know online but not in person, lives far away etc? If you don’t mind my asking.

For people who arr remote, just rrach oit and keep them talkinf as much as possible but try and see if anybody close to thrm can be present. And let themm know if they think theyre gonna do something, to go th the hospital

For me, talking about futurue i.e " oh you have TJIS to look forward to, have to loive for thay". Grounding person in present, not past n futuree is important
