I’m very happy for the person they chose and everyone is like “well you got an interview/a spot to compete at least out of 30/500/1000/3000 applications/subs” which is true but hard to put on a resume without feeling average? I’ll be happy tomorrow and try for something else.
Yeah, I get that. The feeling sucks, no matter how people try to frame it. Please know, however, that this is not a reflection of your worth or your future prospects. You’ll get there. Just not the route you imagined.

Years of “almost” just crashed down hard today. It’s easier to get eliminated early on sometimes! I just wish I could afford to go to school. I’m sure not having a degree has been pulling me out of the running in some of them. Even free internships.pic.twitter.com/yH6e0mFT91
