The burden of noticing doesn’t rest on your shoulders :) It’s nice to check in on folks occasionally if you know them/notice something is up, but you’re not a mind reader, you’re not responsible for keeping everyone happy and not noticing things you had no/little way of knowing..
...doesn’t make you a bad person. The fact that you clearly care evidences this. You’re a good person. You don’t need to go out of your way to look after everyone 
Please take as much time as you need — Twitter is an exhausting place atm; I know several people doing the same
