It’s also what a game does with that time. 40 hours can be consistently engaging but it can also be 10 hours of amazing-ness, squeezed in between long stretches on monotony.

You just reminded me! I started Hearts of Stone and never finished, need to play both of them.

HoS is great. They just focussed the DLC on one questline that you could complete in one evening if you wanted, and they nailed it. BaW was a lot of fun but and great quality, but lacked the same ‘this is one intense nugget of saturated goodness’ that HoS had due to breadth
