Psst. This game is over one million words long; that’s like twice the length of the lord of the rings trilogy. You can’t a fix a game before you’ve finished creating it, and that took a long time. It’s also a very complex game. Do you know how long it takes to make games?

One of the biggest things game dev has taught me: instead of assuming incompetence, ask yourself, ‘what factors could have been at play which made this the best thing they could deliver?’ And be sure to take into account that there’s probably stuff you wouldn’t have considered.

Again, maybe consider that there may have been other factors at play — for example, factors which meant they had to release when they did. Take it from someone who A) worked at Fusebox and B) knows a lot about game dev.

I'm glad you appreciate the work, but... literally you could not be more wrong. That is an insanely short amount of time to make a game, especially one of this length and complexity. We started work first thing last summer and we were still writing when I left in April/May.

That writing was non-stop. Then you need art. And once you have both of those things, you still need to implement it all, which for a game like this is a very long and arduous task and very easy to make mistakes with. Can't fix bugs until that's done.
