Arya!Jon kneels and Dany’s better part wins out, if for a moment. She urges Drogon closer and Arya!Jon raises their eyes to hers. Dany’s expression is that of her former, idealistic self – a young girl longing for a simple happiness somewhere within the bloodthirsty politicalpic.twitter.com/DXYavuh3Rz
I love this, except I don’t see Dany killing Jon, despite everything. Only if she genuinely thought he was going for her throne. Also Cersei always said she would rather die than be captured; I reckon she’d drink the Tears of Lys just before Jamie makes it to her.

I also like the idea that maybe Dany didn’t torch the city after all; she finds the strength to temper herself and lands Drogon. Cersei takes ToL and commands Qyburn to set the remaining wildfire alight — SHE was queen of the ashes after all, genes be damned.

...which prompts Jamie to kill her out of sorrow for what she’s done, even though she’s already dying. I dunno, I like ToL because it was foreshadowed and fits with ‘after your tears have drowned you’ in the prophecy.

ToL would also make sense, since I don't imagine she thought Jaime was coming. So basically we're finding that SO MANY OTHER PLOTS would have made more sense

I reckon they got too hung up on trying to do something the audience wouldn’t expect, and we were expecting, well... something satisfying.
