I'm mainly just mad about Jaimes redemption arc being thrown out of the window

Maybe not.. but at least she had redeemable qualities. Dany that frees thousands of slaves is in no way resembling the dany that ignored a surrendering city and burns tens of thousands of innocents. (She could have gone straight for the keep anyway lolwut)

The manner is which she frees slaves is very questionable, and arguably it was never about the people to her in the first place. She’s been threatening to burn cities to the ground since like season two, maybe earlier. It was Jorah etc who deterred her from her worst impulses.

Is that a spicy take? I thought the whole set up was for her to go mad conquer, I guess the people cheering her on didn't realize that someone who conquers because of birth right and unironically believes it might not be all right in the head.

I think it was obvious, but when I look at my Twitter feed, most people are saying otherwise

i think the main issue is 1) speed with which it happens 2) daenerys was always foreshadowed to be bloodthirsty, but she cared about who she saw as her people. slaughtering traitors and competitors made sense, killing innocents doesn’t.
