In my old job discussing pay was a sackable offence. In my notice period I found out another girl on my team was being paid 6k more per year than me for the same job (even though I was more experienced and she came to me for help with things)
I feel like the fact that only those two outcomes exist is more indicative of the fact that they’re paying people differently for the same work from the get go, like... maybe they should be looking inwards more? I would also add a third option: you’re mad at your boss
